- Course objectives
- The seminar was designed for the students interested in the psychological aspects of meaning. It concerns with the empirical studies of the psychological aspects of language and the utilization of the psychosemantic knowledge in psychological testing. Interested students can find a theme of their thesis in this area.
Main objectives of the course:
to understand basic concepts of semiotics
to learn some basic psychosemantic methods
to discuss various aspects of the psychology of meaning - Syllabus
- relations of psychology, linguistics, philosophy of language, and semiotics
- psycholinguistics and psychosemantics
- basic conceptions of psychosemantics (Miller, Kreitler and Kreitler, Johnson-Laird, Kelly, Osgood, Shmelev, Petrenko)
