Course objectives
The topic of the seminar is genre story in Modern Greek literature. The main aim of the seminar is to introduce the development of this literary genre, its main representatives and their works to students. Further, students will be informed about realistic and naturalistic movements in Greek literature of the 19th century.
Syllabus
  • Theoretical introduction: genre story – development, main representatives and works, realism in Greek literature of the 19th century, naturalism in Greek literature of the 19th century.
  • Reading and analysis of chosen works.
  • Students present chosen literary works.
