Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand and be able to explain morphological basic of Latin;
use data about normative grammar;
design simple sentences of Latin;
formulate a reasoned differential diagnosis for syntactic phenomena of the normative grammar;
Syllabus
  • Basic morphological and syntactic phenomena of the normative grammar Morphology: nouns 1st-3rd declension;
  • verbs 1st-4th conjunction: present system;
  • adjectivs 1st and 2nd decl.;
  • adverbs 1st-2nd decl.;
  • personal and possesive pronouns. Syntax: accusative with infinitive;
  • time clauses CUM HISTORICUM;
  • protatic clauses real and irreal;
  • final clauses.
