Course objectives
This course offers a general outlok of the most important works written by Spanish authors that have influenced the evolution of the Chidren ,s and Youth Literature in Spain.
Syllabus
  • Program: 1. Introduction (general outlook) 2. The beginnings(padre Coloma and Saturnino Calleja) 3. The period of 1920-1930 (S. Bartolozzi, M. Abril, etc.) 4. The period before the Spanish Civil War(E. Fortún) 5. Franco,s era ( J. Sánchez-Silva) 6. The Transicition period: poetry and drama (Gloria Fuertes) 7. The Transicition period:( consagrated authores M. del Amo, Juan Farias etc.) 8. C. Martín Gaite, A. María Matute. 9. Contemporary authors,Historical inspiration (M. Fernández Pacheco, J.M. Merino, etc.) 10. Contemporary authors: new generation of authors(Care Santos,M. Casariego, etc.) 11. Adaptatios of clasic authors/fairy tails.
