Course objectives
The Oral History approach can be used both as an alternative source of informations and as a tool of an etno-historical research studying the role of cinema in the everyday life. At the end of the course students should be able to: - evaluate a project based on the methods of oral history - prepare methodologically correct research project based on the method of oral history - reconstruct the temporary historical context - prepare a methodologically correct structure of an interview - realize an interview with a narrator - analyse and interprete the acquired material

  • - the methodology of oral history - the history of the method in the film studies area - introduction of a concrete research topic - a reconstruction of the historical context - questionnaire - interview - transcription - analysis and interpretation of the seminar´s interviews
