Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following:
making students aware of function of museums;
acquainting students with basic methods of museum work
Syllabus
  • History of collecting and museums in Czech Republic and Europe;
  • Collecting in museums, aims, collecting plans;
  • Thesauruses of museum's objects;
  • Documentation of museum's objects, computer programmes Demus, Bach;
  • Documentation of contemporary society, SAMDOK;
  • Legal system in protection of cultural and natural heritage;
  • Museum exhibitions;
  • Public relations in museums
