Course objectives
The main objectives of the subject can be summarized as follows: at the end of the course students should be able to reflect the main tendencies of the contemporary Anglo-American philosophy; to understand the topical character of American Neo-Pragmatism and its connection with political practice; on the basis of acquired knowledge to acquire the fundamental abilities for the interpretation of the texts from the branch of contemporary Anglo-American philosophical thought.

Peirce´s conception of evolutionary love as the moving ontological and social principle. W. James. J. Dewey, his social meliorism and fight against stalinism.
  • Analytical philosophy in the USA: W.V.O. Quine.
