Course objectives
The aim of the lecture is to provide the students with the elementary information about the nature of Russian philosophy as a national and individual self-reflection in connection with aesthetics and culture. At the end of the course the student should have a more precise idea of the role of philosophy in general and of Russian philosophy in particular in Russian social life and culture.

  • Impact of German classical philosophy

  • Russian slavophiles (the Kireevskiis, the Aksakovs, Chomjakov)

  • Russian religious philosophy of self-reflection at ten beginning of the 20th century (Vladimir Ern, Gustav Špet, Semyon Frank aj.)
