- At the end of the course students should be able to:
explain the basic notions and theoretical concepts of the sociology of music;
identify the elementary methodological positions of the important representatives of the sociology of music;
locate the main theoretical concepts in the development of the social sciences and musicology;
apply the theoretical concepts in the analysis of the particular cases in the history of music and contemporary musical culture. - Syllabus
