Course objectives
The main aim of the course is developing writing skills relevant to a chosen topic, preparing students for independent research of information sources, selecting and working with information. Introduction into principles of academic writing as well as the formal aspects of writing a thesis.
Syllabus
  • In the first lesson students choose a topic from a given list of topics. Continual preparation is expected, students discuss questions and problems in small groups once every two weeks.

Writing a seminar paper on a chosen topic. Discussion in small groups.

Students work indepedently, actively participate in discussions. Credit: seminar paper – five pages in length.
