Course objectives
The students are expected to prepare the translations and to participate in discussions in the classes. The aim of the course is to make students acquainted with the main problems a translator may face when translating from Spanish into Czech. At the end of this course, students should be able not only to identify such basic problems in particular texts, but they also should be able to find adecuate solutions.

Teaching methods
Seminar: Application of the acquired theoretical knowledge on translations of authentic texts. In the form of comments the students show their capability to give reasons for particular solutions of problematic parts of every translation.
Assessment methods
Regular home preparation of the translations and active participation are very important.
