Basic informations about history of Czech lands 1939-1945, english and german language for undestanding of writen and spoken word.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: describe the evolution of interpretations of history of German occupation and protectorate Bohemia and Moravia in documentary films and movies; interpret film sources; understand the relation between historiography and propaganda.

  • Film as a historical source.
  • Dokumentary film and movie from communist regime and historography.
  • Sudeten German in Czech and German film.
  • K.H.Frank a K. Henlein in documentary film.
  • R. Heydrich in German and Czech documetary film.
  • Assassination of R. Heydricha in documentary film and movie.
  • Holocaust and the Ghetto of Terezin in documentary film.
  • Protectorate and nationasocialist ideology in contemporary film.
