- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to help students work independently with uknown texts that are diffucult to interpret.
At the end of the programme the student should be able to:
- use the knowledges from the development od the latin script from the IX.th to the XV.th Cent. on the historical sources, especially by the datation of the undated texts
- transcribe selected original Latin texts from 800-1500
- analyse and read original Latin texts from 800-1500 - Syllabus
- Practice of transcription and the basics of editing techniques are examined on a text from 16th-20th centuries
