- Course objectives
- The aim of the seminar is to introduce readings and philological translation of Greek texts to students. At the end of the course, students will be capable of working with various types of dictionaries, of understanding Modern Greek scholarly, journalistic and literary texts and of characterising the specifics of the individual styles. Readings and translations will be supplemented by practical exercises focused on scholarly and journalistic Greek.

- Texty a cvičení poskytuje vyučující, texty k vlastní četbě si vybírají studenti individuálně po případné konzultaci s vyučující.
- Texts and exercises are provided by the tutor, texts for reading are chosen by students individually after a consultation with the tutor.

- The course has a form of a seminar.
- Assessment methods
- Active attendance (homework and presentation min. 70 %). Oral examination – translation of an extract from a compulsory reading title (chosen by students) for bachelor cycle of studies.
