Course objectives
This course provides a comprehensive overview of basic principles of Aesthetics (critical judgement, judgement of taste, disinterested pleasure, perception, the vallue of Art, Beauty, Sublime...), lines of thought in Aesthetics in reference to art object and its vallue (formalism, New Criticism, Structuralism, Aesthetic relativism).Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of aesthetic categories, kitsch, falsum, describe different types of aestetical judgment and concepts.
