Very good knowledge of the history of the Late Roman Republic, basic knowledge of the Latin language.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to look up and interpret available literary sources, and on their basis to understand and explain the most important processes and phenomena of the period.
Syllabus
  • The seminars will be focused on reading and analyzing sources regarding political, economic and cultural history of the Roman Principate (cca 27 B.C. - A.D. 284).
