Course objectives
Workshop for students of Film Studies and Journalism, where they become familiar with different genres in the print media and their possibilities and potential limits of the understanding of documentary film. Lectors of the workshop (who are the prominent Czech film journalists) will firstly have a theoretical class about their genre, which will be followed by the students’ writing and a practical critical seminar, where students’ texts are to be analyzed. Workshop has also its international part (held in English), where film publicists from different countries will present their lectures about critical writing on documentary.
