Basic knowledge of Roman history, art and civilization - Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, students should be able to master the knowledge concerning historical and topographical development of Rome and its agglomeration, to determine pricipal axes of the urbanisation process and construction of the most important architectures in the monumental zone of the city and the transformations of it.

- 2. Ancient settlement development of Rome from the 9th to the 6th century
- 3. Palatinus in the Royal and Republican era
- 4. Palatinus in the Imperial era
- 5. Capitolium and his importance
- 6. Rorum Romanum I
- 7. Forum Romanum II
- 8. The elapsed and lost monuments of the Forum Romanum
- 9. The imperial Fora
- 10. Area of the Esqwuilinus and Mars field
- 11. The aquaducs, roman communications
- 12. Imperial baths and villas
- 13. Conclusion and test

- Completion Requirements for the examination: - Basic orientation in the individual spheres of research in the branch - Knowledge of specialist literature, periodicals and outcomes of the work of significant researchers within the scope of the lecture and the assigned literature Three written tests, final oral exam
