- Course objectives
- A purpose of the subject is to introduce students in literary Russian, focused on a linguistic content. A special stress is put on linguistic terminology, i.e. on the grammatical terms, but also on the names of languages, dialects and language groups, and their usual Czech equivalents. In the same time the grammatical analysis of individual words and syntactic analysis of clauses is realized in a synchronic confrontation with their Czech equivalents.

- 1. cyrillic alphabet - Similarities and differences in written and printed letters. Order of letters. Basic differences in pronunciation in confrontation with Czech. 2. Declension of Russian nouns. 3. Declension of Russian adjectives: simple vs. compound ones. 4. Kinds and declension of Russian pronouns. 5. Conjugation of Russian verbs. 6. Indeclinable words. 7. Reading of specialized linguistic texts.

- Reading of specialized linguistic texts, their interpretation and current grammatical, lexical and syntactic analysis.

- Written translation of a specialized Russian text with linguistic content, testing both the essential language skills and a basic knowledge of the Russian linguistic terminology.
