Course objectives
The aim of this course is to improve students’ practical skills in stylization, especially with regard to written scholarly texts. Time permitting attention may be paid to spoken scholarly texts too.
Syllabus
  • In the course will be used exercises aimed to the development student´s skills in stylization scholarly texts - their formal as well as factual aspects, from the formal requirements attention will be primarily paid to the citation norm. During the semestr students will also create their own scholarly texts.
  • In teaching will be used authentic materials (especially from Czech studies and computational linguistics).

Teaching methods
The course consists of tutor´s explanations and own students´ activity.
Assessment methods
Students will receive their credits on the basis of following requirements: attendance (up to 3 absences), active participation in seminars, elaboration of all tasks awarded during the semester and successful coping of the final control exercise.
