Course objectives
The course is focused on the practical language preparation, above all mastering of phonetical and morphological specifics of Slovak language at the work with texts of various genres and on the especially prepared language exercises. Objective of course: getting language competence at Slovak – to be able to communicate at Slovak language environs.
Syllabus
  • 1. Training at the field of spoken and also written language at level A1 – A2
  • 2. Enriching of vocabulary
  • 3. Grammatical and lexical exercises (exercising of problematical phenomena)
  • 4. Work with authentic texts
  • 5. Conversation – actual themes
  • 6. Problematics of Czech–Slovak language interferences

Teaching methods
Theoretical instruction combined with numerous practical language exercises, class discussion, conversation, homeworks.
Assessment methods
Final written test - the students will be become acquainted with the structure of the text at the end of the semester.
