Course objectives
A student will be able summarize knowledge about harmonical phenomena behaviour theoretically (making up chords, manipulating them, applying them during harmonizing a melody and a numbered bass), will be able to identify these phenomena in a musical notation. In practice, he will be able to use seventh-chords and also effects in chromatical harmony. He will be able to make diatonic, chromatic and enharmonic modulations. He will be capable to play finished examples on the piano.

Teaching methods
The subject combines a form of a lecture and a seminar, uses drills and homeworks.
Assessment methods
The subject is concluded by an exam consisting of two parts – a writing test (figured bass, using chords, 3 modulations), followed by an oral exam. The oral exam is a subject to reach more than 20 points. During the oral exam the student will play a designated and elaborated soprano on the piano, answer theoretical questions (one per each of five basic fields) and play two diatonical modulations according to the request on the piano.
