- Course objectives
- Students are able to use the genitive sg. and pl., distinguish between countable and uncountable nouns (including the genitive case), use adverbs of quantity (including the genitive case) and use the nominative pl. for masculine animate nouns. In the following parts they are able to use "kde" and "kam" with adverbs of place and nouns describing place (include the correct case and the preposition). They are also able to use the past tense of regular and of some irregular Czech verbs. Last part of the Czech grammar is focused on the compound future tense and verbs of motion.

- Teacher-led instruction (theoretical preparation), homework, supplementary exercises (oral and written).
- Assessment methods
- Final written test. Besides the test, the following rules must be observed: 1/ In order to successfully finish the course, student's participation in the course must be at least 75 %. If student's participation drops below 75 %, he will not be allowed to write the final test. 2/ The students fullfils all tasks given by the teacher (homeworks, presentations etc.) Unpreparedness is judged as absence. 3/ Students must not switch study groups, unless the Head of Department of Czech for Foreigners explicitly approved it.
