- ability to describe the basic features of the epoch; the knowledge of specific features of the thinking of ancient people

- 1. The explanation of the term "Antiquity", periodization of the ancient history
- 2. The ancient writing systems, their development and decoding
- 3. The types of states in the ancient Near East, in India and China
- 4. The types of ancient states
- 5. The chronology of the ancient history, instruments used to determine it
- 6. The linguistic and ethnical situation in the ancient era
- 7. The status of the ancient-oriental and classical slaves
- 8. The thinking of the ancient man and instruments used to determine it
- 9. The thinking of the ancient man (practical examples based on sources)
- 10. The legal and political terminology of the ancient history
- 11. The basics of field methodology
