Course objectives

So obvious and widespread that it is the concept of postmodernism is far from universally be interpreted. It is also far from being revealed as a useful way to review literature from the 1980s to the early twenty-first century. However, explained Jean-François Lyotard as "rewriting modernity" and has the appearance of a medical history of modernity, it proves sufficiently operative when called to account for several trends in contemporary narrative literature. In its first part, the this lecture will attempt to make a historical perspective of the phenomenon and to identify the various aspects of it in the different areas she has achieved, eventually leading to a general definition reflecting both the philosophical and social and historical part of the culture and literature side. A seminar that will try to identify the phenomena previously described in the works of modernist and postmodernist.
