- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is - to make students sensitive to the importance of interpretation and critical analysis of literary texts before translating them - to enhance students' translation skills - to practise both indidual and team work on translations - to practise evaluation of translations - to translate a collection of short stories as a team
- Syllabus
- - read and discuss a given collection of short stories - choose a story to translate - translate the story - evaluate your colleagues' translations - improve your translation (in pairs) - evaluate the final versions of the translated stories
- Teaching methods
- The course will be held online in the elf e-learning system, with 2-3 group meetings per semester. Students will read, analyse and translate a collection of short stories. There will be regular assignments in the elf for individual, pair as well as team work.

- - assignments in the elf regarding reading, interpretation, translation and translation evaluation
