Course objectives
First meeting with Serbian language, basic lexical items, basic grammar rules. At the end of the course students should be able to understand the basic of Serbian language.
Syllabus
  • Texts: Aerodrom Beograd, Prvi dan u institutu, Ko je ovo? Šta je ovo? U hotelu, U gradu, Porodica Popović, Koliko je sati, Nova drugarica, Dobro veče, Subota, Dolaze gosti, Raspored časova, Koncert, Posle koncerta, Imam jednu malu želju, Idemo u Smederevo, Roditelji Nikole Popovića, Volite li da putujete? Kako? S kim?, Pauza, Jedno prijatno veče, Marko je stigao iz Italije, Kod Silvije i Marka, Šta se desilo Milošu?, Kome pišeš?, Novi stan, Kakav je?, Šta voli? Grammar: verb to be, nominative singular of nouns, Personal and a possessive pronouns, locative singular of noun in with proposals in and about , basic numbers, verbs in the present tense, locative plural of nouns, adjectives, singular genitive with the proposals before, after, To, from, verbs in the present tense I am, genitive plural of nouns, modal verbs, accusative singular and plural of nouns, numbers, accusative singular and the plural with proposals in with verbs of movement, Instrumental singular and plural of nouns, adjectives and pronouns, paste tense of verbs, nouns and adjectives locative with the proposals, dative singular and plural of nouns, adjectives and pronouns a descriptive adjectives. Teaching methods
Serbian: Seminars, 1½ hours per week, plus half an hour tutorials to be arranged individually with students.
Assessment methods
The course has a form of a class discussion. Conditions for credits: active participation in the lessons(which is allowed a maximum of 3 absences)15%, all homework 25%, successfully written test 60%.
