- Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
to get an outlook of the main authors, peridos and tendencies in hispanoamerican theatre;
to understand the specific themes and forms of this theatre. - Syllabus
- 1.- Colonial Theatre: Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and Juan Ruiz de Alarcón.
- 2.- Independence period: Florencio Sánchez and Rodolfo Usigli. 3.- Birth of National Theatres in the second half of 20th century. 4.- Postmodernity and last tendences.
