- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students will be able to work with the most important sources for this period of time and deduce from them independent statements.
- Syllabus
- In this seminar students will be apprised with the most important historical works from the Ancient Near East (the selection of the sources will be partly changing). This semester we will read Mesopotamian codes of law and religious texts. On the history of Greece selected works of Greek historians will be read, as well as epigraphic sources and examples of the earliest poetry.
