- Course objectives
- In the end of this course students will be able to interpret Czech avant-garde mouvement in the context of Central European art.
- Syllabus
- 1. Definition of the topic: concept of Avant-garde art, local boundaries. 2. International character of the Avant-garde art. 3. Devětsil and Karel Teige. 4. Expansion of constructivism and abstraction: Bauhaus.5. Art in Poland, Hungary etc. 6. Art magazines. 7. Surrealism. 8. End of the 30s.
