- Course objectives
- The course gives a brief outline of the history of Brazilian cinematography with emphasis put on films based on literary works by Brazilian authors. Attention is paid to several movies reflecting special themes of Brazilian culture. The work parts from the reading and the analysis of the literary text which is followed by the presentation of the movie and the final discussion. The subject is taught in Portuguese.

- - homework: reading of texts - a short exposition related to the literary text as well as the film - projection of the film - discussion
