- At the end of the course students should be able to:
describe the evolution of the Roman law after the end of the Western Roman empire
explain > explain the Roman law influence on the legal systems of the new barbarian states
demonstrate the Roman law influence on the legal orders of the modern states, especially on those in the Mediterranean area (Italy, Spain, France)
enumerate main exponents of the so called reception schools - Syllabus
