- Course objectives
- Aim of the subject The aim of the subject is to deepen and complement specialized knowledge of PhD students through comparison with achieved results of their colleagues (PhD students). Content Specific content of the subject is related to PhD students’ presentations of theses for final dissertation or to presentations of one of their dissertations’ chapters. PhD students give these presentations in front of their colleagues in a “Predoctoral Circle” (see also the annotation of Predoctoral Circle II). An opposition of a teacher of the department (chosen in advance) follows each presentation, together with a discussion on the topic.

- Basic topics According to the focus of dissertations of individual PhD students (usually students of the 2nd–5th term). In each term there are about four meetings of the “Predoctoral Circle”.
