Prerequisites
In order to be admitted to the seminar, a student must have successfully finished the 4th semester of their studies, obtained the required number of credits and fulfilled the required readings.

Course objectives
The B.A. minor thesis seminar is held by the supervisor of the thesis, that means by one of the following teachers at the Department of Classical Studies: Bartoňková, Bartoněk, Radová; there is no defence of the minor B.A. thesis, see the study regulations.
Syllabus
  • Students who have chosen the particular topic for their B.A. minor thesis from the offer of individual teachers attend the B.A. minor thesis seminar and consult their supervisor about the approach to the thesis and its outline, the required literature, technical properties and concrete problems concerning the assigned topic.

Teaching methods
Individual advisor-student tutorial in methodology of writing the B. A. minor thesis: synopsis, introduction, methods of text analysis, argumentation and conclusion.
Assessment methods
The advisor awards the course-unit credit for the semester on the basis of progress made and according to the student-advisor consultations.
