- At the end of the course the students will be able:
- to understandthe role of effective speaking and presenting
- to explain the main principles of the social communication
- to show the main factors and principles of the effective communication
- to show the possibilities how to organise structure and communication skills for an effective presentation
- to use the skill from the practical training of rhetoric skills - Syllabus
- The basic scheme of the course:
- 1. what is rhetoric, the development and meaning of the discipline
- 2. the basic communication model and its implications
- 3. the verbal components of communication, how to use words
- 4. the instrumental components of communication, its meaning and influencing
- 5. the non verbal components of communication
- 6. the basic types of speeches
- 7. the structure of a lecture or of a public speech
- 8. the goals and the target groups of speeches
- 9. argumentation
- 10. discussion and how to lead and influence it
- 11. the rhetoric styles and their characteristics
- 12. the rhetoric figures
- 13. training of an individual speech
