- Course objectives
- Basic course of the Ukrainian language, practical lessons of Ukrainian as a foreign language. Student acquire basic phonetic particularities of Ukrainian as well as basic knowledge of grammatical constructions of the Ukrainian language. Some basic facts about Ukraine are introduced to students. They acquire and practically use common Ukrainian linguistic terminology.
The aim of the course is to understand a text in Ukrainian and to translate into Czech. Similarities and differences between Ukrainian and Czech languages are also considered. - Syllabus
- Ukrainian alphabet. Basic phonetic rules of Ukrainian. Grammar:
- Nouns (gender and number, plural constructions, possessive and locative case).
- Adjectives (soft and hard declension).
- Pronouns (personal, possessive).
- Numerals (cardinal).
- Verbs (verb categories, conjugation).
