Course objectives
In the seminar the students will learn the basics concerning teaching Czech as a foreign/second language. Attention will be paid to elementary methodology principles within particular language competences - reading, writing, listening and speaking. Language testing and assessment will be covered with respect to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and referential descriptions of Czech too. Last but not least the students will focus on available teaching materials and on the specifics and needs in teaching Czech as a foreign/second language for various target groups.
Learning outcomes
After having accomplished this seminar the student will be able to:
- have an overview within Czech as a foreign/second language teaching;
- know teaching methods and activities;
- choose appropriate teaching and diagnostic materials;
- understand CEFR and the usage of referential descriptions of Czech.
