Let's talk and share our research projects from different fields. Let's share our mental and cultural spaces. Let's analyze Czech modern & contemporary art and culture. Let’s share our views of the world, our life and travel experiences, books and movies.
The lecture is focused on the development of Czech modern art forms from the end of the 19th Century to the present days. We will introduce the most famous Czech artists, those who worked here and also those who worked abroad.
The inherent part of the art world is also art collecting and art market. We will discuss both these special spaces and compare with the foreign experiences. Who were the most famous Czech artists and collectors? Who are the contemporary art collectors and why do collect art?
How art and culture behind the Iron Curtain looked like and who are the most famous Czech women artists? What kinds of art museums and galleries we have and what can we see there?
