Course objectives
The lecturer comes out from several years of ethnological field research on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, which was realized mainly in the rural area. The cycle of lectures will give students an insight into the everyday culture of Macedonia, the great emphasis is putted on the current research of traditional culture with the prism of ethnology as a science of everyday culture, taking into account all-Balkan specifics.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to: orientate in research of everyday life in ethnology and related disciplines; to understand some of the specifics of the development of traditional folk culture / culture of everyday life in the Balkans; to orientate in the traditional and contemporary culture of the Republic of Macedonia.
