- Course objectives
- After finishing the seminar, the student will be able to formulate the main features of the foundation stage of the communist regime. He/She will be capable of evaluating the reasons why the Czechoslovak Republic was an authoritarian state in this period. He/She will characterize the main events of this era and define the basic power structures and repressive organs. The student will also be able to describe the main political trials and their representatives. Furthermore, after finishing the course, the student will have no difficulty naming the main resistance groups of this period and their members, including the Mašín brothers’ anti-communist resistance group.
