- Course objectives
- Basic geographical, political, social and economic characteristics of contemporary Bulgaria, customs, traditions and characteristics of Bulgarian people.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students will be able to demonstrate the knowledge of modern Bulgarian history, have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of Bulgarian social life, have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of comparative study of Bulgarian language and literature.

- One lecture and one seminar per week, e-learning.
- Assessment methods
- One paper presentation on the chosen topic during the seminar, using PowerPoint presentation (written texts will not be accepted if there is no valid reason, f. e. study stays abroad). Student need to present his paper on date he signed for. Oral exam.
