Course objectives
The goal of the lesson is to introduce students to the basics of Coptic language of Sahidic dialect. Students will get acquainted with the last 4 lessons of the textbook by Layton and they will read the selected Coptic texts.
Learning outcomes
Students will gain knowledge and complete awareness of the grammar of the Sahidic dialect of the Coptic language and they will be able to read simple Coptic texts.
Syllabus
  • 1. The last 4 lessons of the textbook by Layton. 2. Reading of the selected Coptic texts from the Coptic version of the Bible and the passages of the Gospel of Thomas.
