Course objectives
The course is targeted at advanced students of Norwegian as a foreign language, its aim is to extend vocabulary in selected fields and provide the students with basic professional terminology. The concept of this course is the terminology specialisation in special items. With the support of lexicology and corpus linguistics methods the student gets the training for the transtalor and interpreter profession.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this cource The students will be able to communicate and systematic work with the special fields terminology. Added value of this course is the attention to translatition problematic.Practicla methodological preparation for the profession of the translator.

  • The topics of the copurse are: Outline
  • Building of specialized vocabulary,
  • training of oral presentation skills,
  • professional communication skills,
  • vocabulary extension
  • training for professional translation in the following fields
  • : law, medicine, ecology, oil industry, management and business environment, society, media and public relations
