Course objectives
The course focuses on the presentation of printed periodicals and the acquisition of active and passive competence in reading with corresponding understanding and critical evaluation.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to have an understanding of the language and conceptual contexts of the newspaper landscape in Norway and Scandinavia. The student will be able to demonstrate a functional understanding of the actual language use.

  • COMMENTED NORWEGIAN NEWSPAPERS 1. Norwegian newspapers in the social context of Norway and Scandinavia.
  • 2. Text types and genres.
  • 3. Subtitles (metaphor, metonymy, reference frame)
  • 4. Rhetorical, lexical and stylistic peculiarities
  • 5. Argumentation analysis
  • 6. Communications in other media
  • 7. Reading and oral and written analysis of texts.
