Course objectives
Participants in this course work on the final version of their disertation project. If the project is accepted, the supervisor creates the official project in the Information system. The first part of the course consists in individual consultations with the supervisor. In the second part, participants present their projects and provide critical feedback to other projects. Based on consultations with the supervisor, the feedback is used in order to finish the dissertation project. Besides that, the participant, with the guidance of the supervisor, prepares a proposal of the study plan.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
  • write up a complex research project proposal, addressing the theoretical foundations, the supposed progress beyond the state of the art, the method, and the expected contribution of the project;
  • present a research project proposal and participate in a discussion about it;
  • incorporate feedback and finish the dissertation project;
  • plan the timeline of the doctoral study (courses, other activities).
