- Course objectives
- In this course the student prepares a detailed summary of his/her dissertation and consults the supervisor about this summary. Upon the supervisor’s approval, the student submits ten printed copies of the summary to the Study Department together with the printed copies of the dissertation. At the same time, the student submits an electronic version of the summary in the Homework Vault of the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:- formulate the core theses of the dissertation;
- write a concise and clear summary of a long academic text.

- Consultations with the supervisor.
- Assessment methods
- Students submit a detailed ten-pages (A5) summary which has to meet the formal and quality requirements explained in the Doctoral Study Manual published at the website of the Department for the Study of Religions. This summary is evaluated by the supervisor (100 percent of the course evaluation).
