Course objectives
The aim of the course is to make students acquainted with the backgrounds of Spanish Phonetics and Phonology (phonetic and phonological system of Spanish;diphtongs, triphtongs, sineresis, sinalepha; speech segmentation; accent; intonation structures; Spanish of America).
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student will be able to define the basic concepts of phonology and phonology, describe the phonological system of the Spanish language and be familiar with the specifics of American Spanish pronunciation.

Lecture: exposition and definitions of basic terms of Spanish phonetics and phonology and their exemplification on Spanish texts.
