- Course objectives
- The course deals with the methodology of research in translation studies. It includes the analysis of translated texts and their contexts, processual research, and the participants of the process including the basics of cognitive research.
The course discuses the issues of quantitative vs. qualitative research and possible mixing of the two, of ethics of research, and touches on the basics of statistics and data validity. - Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- formulate research questions and hypotheses
- select a suitable method for the research
- independently carry out the research or organize an experiment
