- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to strengthen the professional competence of the doctoral student related to the realization of their dissertation topic, and to their teaching and research activities. As part of the course, the student shall present the outline of their dissertation project, and join a general discussion of their work. In addition to the registered PhD students, the supervisor and a field expert will also be present. Part of the course will also be a joint reading and interpretation of selected specialized studies on the subject (in accordance with the dissertation topic). The course will be supplemented by other practical skills.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- devise the topic of their dissertation more effectively;
- use substantive methodological approaches in their argumentation;
- critically reflect upon the existing body of scholarship on their subject;
- to boost their rhetorical and presentation skills, important for teaching activities and for participating in academic conferences;
- to use e-learning. - Syllabus
- The syllabus will correspond to the dissertation topics of the registered PhD students. The reading and interpretation of selected professional studies will also be related to the topics of the dissertation projects.
