- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to explain the background and concepts of information literacy and to define them against other literacies. Students should be able to reflect the topic in the context of lifelong learning, the theory of information literacy, and research data. Students should be able to use the competences acquired during the course and implement them both in partial tasks within the course and on their own complex solution of information literacy in a particular organization.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- interpret selected models and standards for information literacy, focusing on different environments and levels of education and key target groups;
- understand international context of information literacy;
- describe how technology influence information literacy;
- design teaching activity for the development of information literacy of a particular target group;
- design research on information literacy and have insight into the current research findings in this topic. - Syllabus
